I want to attach bags. What will it do to the frame finish?

Curve's steel frames are finished with high-quality and durable paint, but the paint is not unaffected by rubbing from bike bags or rock strikes etc.

If you want to keep your paint looking pristine, we recommend that you use some kind of protective film - especially in the high-wear areas where bag straps are in direct contact with the frame.

Stock Ti frames are not painted, but bag rub will affect the surface finish. The lighter, brushed, finish can be refreshed using a fine abrasive pad, but the darker blasted finish can only be refinished by media blasting. To keep your Ti frame looking pristine, we recommend using protective film.

The Evolution of the Belgie - Finished in Australia

The AIR Belgie 3D is Curve's most premium road bike offering. The AIR Belgie 3D concept accelerates Curve's much loved Belgie road bike range to a new level both in performance and aesthetics. This high-end road bike with hybrid titanium / carbon construction is bonded, finished and painted in Australia. Stunning 3D printed titanium details adorn the frame including the completely 3D printed head tube with invisible transitions, the refined dropout design and the power pyramid bottom bracket assembly.

Custom Paint Options

While the base AIR Belgie 3D model includes a timeless raw titanium finish, we can work with you to create the bike of your dreams with custom artwork and paint through our partnership with Candy Factory Paintworks. Our photo gallery here shows the custom painted frame displayed at the Bespoked Manchester and Spoken Melbourne bikeshows in 2024.

Built to be Ridden

While the AIR Belgie 3D is a rolling work of art, like all Curve bikes, it is built to be ridden. Designed with stiffness, performance and durability in mind, a less robust earlier prototype even passed EFBE's daunting test regime. This bike will handle serious endurance missions.

Elegant Internal Routing

The clean minimal aesthetic of hidden hoses and cables is perfectly suited to titanium bikes and it is finally available on select Curve models through our partnership with Columbus.

The elegant internal routing execution uses the Columbus Trittico system which allows hidden hoses without an oversized headtube.

Stunning Power Transfer Without Compromising Comfort

The AIR Belgie 3D combines the stiffness of carbon and comfort of titanium to create a new standard for high end road bikes in the Curve range.

The backbone of each AIR Belgie 3D frameset is a 3Al - 2.5V Grade 9 aerospace grade titanium tube set, optimal for bicycle frames. Our tubeset is carefully chosen to balance of stiffness, compliance, and durability. Titanium absorbs road noise without compromising on performance meaning you'll finish longer rides without feeling battered.

The hybrid carbon-titanium construction is not purely for aesthetics. The phenomenally strong double-lap carbon-titanium bond at the 3D printed power-pyramid bottom bracket assembly, mean improved stiffness and and a leap forward in power transfer.

Made to Order

The Curve AIR Belgie 3D is made to order with a lead time of six months. While we can simply supply a frameset and cockpit bundle, please contact us so that we can work together on complete build options. We love nothing more than working closely with each customer to construct the ultimate bike just for them.

Please also get in touch to confirm your bike fit details. We make sure we spend the necessary time working with each customer to ensure the best possible fit. If you have existing bike fit data, we will carefully work through the detail to determine best size option for you and understand any particular bike fit constraints crucial to your comfort and performance.

Complete 3D printed titanium headtube with invisible top and down tube transitions. 3D printed titanium "power pyramid" at the seat tube / bottom bracket interface. 3D printed titanium SRAM UDH compatible dropouts. Precision CNC machined head tube and T47 bottom bracket. Sleek 3D printed front derailleur clamp which drastically improves front shifting.
