Will the Ride 415 VGM work with my frame?
The Ride 415 VGM fork has a tapered 1 1/8"-1.5" (28.6-39mm) steerer with a 350 mm length. We use this steerer type on all of our forks. It may work with your frame, but you may have to change your headset or headset bearings to make it work. Please have a professional bicycle mechanic fit your new fork.
Can I fit Hope or Paul Klamper brakes?
The Ride 415 VGM has been designed to accept a wide variety of Flat Mount brake calipers, including Hope RX4+. We recommend using the front specific +20mm caliper together with a 180mm rotor for best performance.
However, due to the specific cable entry angle on the Paul Klamper brakes, there's a very high risk the cable housing will interfere with the fork leg.
Can I run a rack?
You sure can! The Ride 415 VGM was designed with a crown tru-hole, so all you need is an M5 bolt long enough to extend through the crown, plus the rack hardware and leave enough room to fit a washer and nut on the back.
I prefer a very upright riding position, how many spacers can I put under my stem?
As with most carbon steerer forks on the market, we do not recommend running more than 30 mm of spacers below the stem (40mm can be approved in certain cases). We also suggest putting a 3-5 mm spacer above the stem to ensure precise compression and ample clearance of your stem cap.
What's the weight limit?
The Ride 415 VGM fork has been tested beyond ISO 4210 standards for MTB/offroad riding (120 kg). Our extended tests were performed with extra weights attached to each fork leg. As such, our max recommended system weight (rider, bike + gear) is 120 kg.
How do I fit the steerer expander plug?
The full length of the steerer expander plug should extend past the stack of the stem, so do not leave excess steerer above the stem other than for light riding while dialling in your fit.

The expanding feature of the plug consists of 3 wedges - it is extremely important that the gap between the wedges DO NOT line up with the gap at the back of the stem clamp. Failure to follow this advice can lead to damage to the steerer.
Are the leg mounts removable?
No, the mounts are bonded to the fork and are not user removable. The 6mm hex recess in the mounts is only there to ease factory assembly. Should a mount become damaged, please do not try to remove it yourself. Please contact us instead.
What torque should I use for the leg mounts?
Generally, you don't need to add a lot of torque to the M5 bolts to secure a mounting cage. The maximum recommended torque to attach a cage is 5Nm.

DO NOT use locking washers, apply threadlocker or use bolts with threadlocker already applied.

NOTE: If you're just putting bolts in the mounts to plug the holes - DO NOT torque the bolts. Only do them up finger tight.

Could this be the Most Capable Gravel Fork on the Market?

The Ride 415 VGM is Curve’s high-performance and highly versatile gravel cycling fork. It is built with carrying capacity, tyre clearance and compatibility in mind. This class-leading fork changes the game for load-carrying capability on a carbon gravel fork. With our improved VGM mounting points you can safely and reliably carry 8 kg on each fork leg (16 kg in total), allowing you to carry more than ever on your gravel cycling missions. With two off-set options and clearance for up to 29 x 2.4” tyres the Ride 415 VGM serves as the perfect upgrade to bring wide-tyre clearance and huge load carrying capacity to a huge variety of gravel bikes.

Game-changing Load Carrying

Featuring 3x VGM mounts on each blade, the Ride 415 VGM fork can accommodate anything from extra water bottles, to our Rocket Pooches, or any other micro pannier or fork-specific bag.

With Curve’s VGM technology, we’re saying goodbye to the less reliable rivnut fork mounts for good. Our CNC-machined mounts, pierce the fork leg completely and once bonded in place are supported in all directions. Rough trails or desert corrugations cannot wiggle our mounts loose and we’ve done the lab testing to prove it.

Harsh lab testing has demonstrated that 8 kg can be mounted confidently to three fork mounts on each side. That’s an incredible 16 kg in total; a number that’s unmatched for a carbon fork leg mounting as far as we’re aware. This means you can be more creative in how you pack on your adventures. Riders with smaller frames with less carrying capacity in the central frame triangle can load up their forks, making a wider range of adventures possible.

The Perfect Gravel Bike Upgrade

While the Ride 415 VGM is a perfect match for the Curve GXR and Big Kev models, it is an excellent upgrade choice to make your existing gravel bike even more capable and comfortable. With two offset options, 46 or 52 mm, the Ride 415 VGM will suit a wide variety of geometries. Whopping tyre-clearance for up to 29 x 2.4” tyres means the Ride 415 VGM fork is likely to boost your bike into the gravel-plus realm, where you’ll enjoy the comfort of wider and plush tyre options.

When it comes to load carrying, the Ride 415 fork is the most capable carbon gravel fork option on the market. It has been thoroughly tested to survive gravel adventures while carrying significant loads.

Tune Your Ride

The Ride 415 VGM fork is equipped with the ability to switch between two different fork offsets (also known as fork rake). This allows you to tune your bike's handling according to your desired riding style/preference or terrain. These two offsets will be labelled Forward (F) position and Backward (B) position for the purpose of explanation here.

The F position means faster handling and requiring less steering input to steer the wheel. This means more comfortable riding with load and at slower speeds. This is the preferred setup for most of the Curve Squad when riding Curve GXR and Big Kev models in bikepacking mode. The F position is therefore the default position. Setting the offset to the B position slows down the steering. This position is preferred by some riders as it will make the bike even more stable at speed. This setting is commonly used when riding unloaded around on faster gravel roads
